Pr Simplice Asongu
MemberProfessor Simplice Asongu holds a PhD from Oxford Brookes University and is currently the Lead Economist and Director of the African Governance and Development Institute (Yaoundé, Cameroon). He is also a: Senior Research Fellow at the Africa Growth Institute (Cape Town, South Africa); PhD Supervisor at Covenant University (Ota, Nigeria), the University of Ghana (Accra, Ghana) and Midlands State University (Gweru, Zimbabwe); DBA Supervisor at Management College of Southern Africa (Durban, South Africa) and Research Associate at the University of South Africa (Pretoria, South Africa), University of Buea (Buea, Cameroon) and Oxford Brookes University (Oxford, UK). He is also Associate Editor in some journals including the Journal of Economic Surveys, the Journal of African Business and the International Journal of Education Economics and Development.
Dr. Vanessa S. Tchamyou
MemberDr. Vanessa S. Tchamyou holds a PhD in Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp, Belgium.
She is the co-chair/founder of the European Xtramile Centre of African Studies (EXCAS, Belgium) ; CEO at the Association for Promoting Women in Research and Development in Africa (ASPROWORDA, Cameroon) and research associate at the African Governance and Development Institute (AGDI, Cameroon).
She has a strong research experience with the publication of several peer-reviewed articles in international journals and is currently ranked by IDEAS/RePEc as the World’s best economist by Cohort (year, 2019). She has executed funded research projects and worked as a macroeconomist at the United Nations. She frequently serves as an expert in evaluating projects and referees in several international peer-review journals.
Peter Yeltulme Mwinlaaru
Visiting ScholarPeter Yeltulme Mwinlaaru is a young researcher with years of experience implementing
various research assignments for reputable clients. He holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Economics and is currently reading a PhD in Economics at the University of Cape Coast. He has teamed up with consultants to implement consultancy services in agriculture, health, and environmental protection. He has excellent writing and reporting skills and has authored some technical reports and research articles. Peter’s current research interest is in the areas of energy, poverty, inequality, and gender issues.
Isaac K. Ofori
Visiting ScholarIsaac K. Ofori is a PhD. Candidate in the Department of Economics, University of Insubria, Italy. Isaac is currently a Visiting Scholar at York University in Toronto, Canada. He was formerly a Demonstrator at the School of Economics, University of Cape Coast, where he obtained an MPhil. In. Economics. Isaac also has rich research and economic planning experiences from Ghana’s Ministry of Finance. His research interest is in Development Economics with focus on inclusive green growth, inclusive growth, microsimulation, and machine learning. Isaac’s work has appeared in leading journals such as Africa Development Review, Telematics and Informatics, Applied Artificial Intelligence, International Review of Applied Economics, and Telecommunications Policy.
Research AssociateTii Nchofoung holds a Masters of sciences in Mathematical economics from the University of Dschang, Cameroon and a diploma in Administration from the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM), Cameroon. He serves in the Ministry of Trade, Cameroon, at the same time, a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Dschang. He is a visiting scholar with the Association of promoting Women in Research and Development (ASPROWADA), Cameroon and for Harriet Tubman Institute for Research on Africa and its Diasporas, York University, Canada. His research interests are in the fields of international economics, macroeconomic and sustainable development. He has published widely in international peer reviewed journals in these fields.
